In the full BigData hype, along came the rise of the Data Scientist role. But what is Data Science? Is it indeed a science like Physics or Mathematics? When looking into some of the current Business Cases involving BigData and Data Science, it feels more like experimenting, doesn’t it?

Experiments however, take a differnt mindset than science does. Science is about proving or disproving thesis and axiomae, experiments is about … experimenting.
